|Black History Month|
In light of Black History Month, today during Periods 3 & 4 the Equity Team will be serving coconut drops and plantain chips.
These are popular treats in the Caribbean and some African countries. The treats will be free and are open to everyone -- Come join us to learn a bit and try some delicious treats.

Next week, there will be a musical presentation at Georgian College celebrating African heritage. Did you know that Mary Ann Shadd was the first black female newspaper publisher in Canada? This heroic woman was also an activist for the end of slavery in the United States and she helped many African-Americans escape slavery by coming north to Canada.
